Callirrhoë would like to draw your attention to the very first solo show of Nasan Tur in Athens, Greece on June 9th 2023. Callirrhoë will present four artworks which represent Tur’s broad multidisciplinary artistic practice. Through the selected works, Tur explores notions of vulnerability, memory and resistance. Nasan Tur’s work comments both directly and indirectly on the conflicts and failures of ideologies and thereby addressing social struggles. In spite of their political and social topics, his works are often humorous, astounding and sometimes shocking. He questions established stereotypes and how each individual finds ways to reinvent realities. Tur depicts concrete images, almost mundane and specifically unspecific, explicit yet ambiguous.

Με χαρά η Callirrhoë θα ήθελε να επιστήσει την προσοχή σας στην πρώτη ατομική έκθεση του Nasan Tur στην Αθήνα στις 9 Ιουνίου 2023. Η έκθεση θα αποτελείται από τέσσερα έργα τέχνης που αντιπροσωπεύουν την ευρεία πολυεπιστημονική καλλιτεχνική πρακτική του Nasan Tur. Μέσα από τα επιλεγμένα έργα, ο καλλιτέχνης διερευνά έννοιες ευπάθειας, μνήμης και αντίστασης. Το έργο του αντιμετωπίζει τους κοινωνικούς αγώνες σχολιάζοντας τόσο έμμεσα όσο και άμεσα τις συγκρούσεις και τις αποτυχίες των εκάστοτε ιδεολογιών. Παρά τα πολιτικά και κοινωνικά τους θέματα, τα έργα του είναι συχνά χιουμοριστικά και μερικές φορές σκανδαλώδη. Αμφισβητεί τα καθιερωμένα στερεότυπα και το πώς το κάθε άτομο βρίσκει τρόπους να εφεύρει εκ νέου τις πραγματικότητες. Ο Tur απεικονίζει συγκεκριμένες εικόνες, σχεδόν εγκόσμιες και αόριστες, σαφείς αλλά διφορούμενες.
