Nicole Economides and her work Illusion of home, as a memory (Ενθύμιο από το Πάσχα / Keepsake from Easter) is the second presentation of the one work show series. Economides is a painter working and living in Athens and in the US. Through the use of semiotic elements, she explores feelings of nostalgia, home and finding one’s identity while crossing the Atlantic bidirectionally. Her conceptual paintings remind the spectator of longing as well as recollecting.

Η Nicole Economides και το έργο της Illusion of home, as a memory (Ενθύμιο από το Πάσχα) είναι η δεύτερη παρουσίαση της σειράς one work show. H Economides είναι ζωγράφος που εργάζεται και ζει στην Αθήνα και στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες. Μέσω της χρήσης σημειωτικών στοιχείων, εξερευνά το συναίσθημα της νοσταλγίας, την έννοια του σπιτιού και την ανάγκη της εύρεσης ταυτότητάς, καθώς η ίδια και η οικογενεία της διασχίζουν τον Ατλαντικό. Οι εννοιολογικοί πίνακές της θυμίζουν στον θεατή τη λαχτάρα αλλά και την ανάμνηση.

The fifth presentation of the 'One Work Show' series showcases a presentation by Marilia Kolibiri titled 'The Well's Instinct.' At the core of the contemporary human consumer experience, Kolibiri's practice delves into the intricate layers that shape our choices, relationships with products, and the broader impact of consumer culture on our lives. Through an in-situ installation comprising three large-scale canvases, she invites viewers to immerse themselves in an exploration of the modern consumer condition and its profound effects on our collective psyche.

Η κατά σειρά πέμπτη έκθεση της σειράς 'One Work Show' παρουσιάζει την εγκατάσταση της Μαριλίας Κολυμπίρη με τίτλο 'The Well's Instinct.' Στην καρδιά της σύγχρονης ανθρώπινης εμπειρίας του καταναλωτή, η πρακτική της Κολυμπίρη εξερευνά τα περίπλοκα στρώματα που διαμορφώνουν τις επιλογές μας, τις σχέσεις μας με τα προϊόντα, και την ευρύτερη επίδραση του πολιτισμού του καταναλωτή στις ζωές μας. Μέσα από μια εγκατάσταση in situ που αποτελείται από τρεις μεγάλης κλίμακας πίνακες, καλεί τους θεατές να εμβαθύνουν σε μια εξερεύνηση της σύγχρονης καταναλωτικής συνθήκης και των βαθύτερων επιδράσεών της στη συλλογική μας ψυχή.

All the sticks, spears and swords, blades entwined

The third presentation of the one work show series is presenting a new body of work by the artist duo Ileana Arnaoutou and Ismene King under the title All the sticks, spears and swords, blades entwined. Drawn to questions concerning the environment and femininity, the artist duo explores fragmented structures within immediate surroundings. The site specific approach evolves around the re-use of materials which already exist, the re-assemblage of fragmented shapes as well as re-thinking the perception of our realities. As part of the new production Arnaoutou and King collected fragments of a wind turbine which was destroyed during a storm by a strike of lightning.

Η τρίτη παρουσίαση της σειράς one work show παρουσιάζει ένα νέο έργο από το καλλιτεχνικό δίδυμο Ιλεάνα Αρναούτου και Ισμήνη Κινγκ υπό τον  τίτλο All the sticks, spears and swords, blades entwined. Επηρεασμένες από ερωτήματα που αφορούν το περιβάλλον και τη θηλυκότητα, η Αρναούτου και η  Κινγκ εξερευνούν κατακερματισμένες δομές στο άμεσο περιβάλλον. Το ειδικά για το χώρο κατασκευασμένο γλυπτό περιστρέφεται γύρω από την επαναχρησιμοποίηση των υλικών, την επανασυναρμολόγηση κατακερματισμένων «σχημάτων», καθώς και την επανεξέταση της αντίληψης των διάφορων πραγματικοτήτων μας. Στο πλαίσιο της νέας παραγωγής, η Αρναούτου και η Κινγκ συνέλεξαν θραύσματα μιας ανεμογεννήτριας που καταστράφηκε από κεραυνό κατά τη διάρκεια καταιγίδας.
